Helicopter conveying Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo crash lands in Kogi State

Nigeria’s vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, has escaped death as his helicopter crash landed in Kogi State, his spokesperson, Laolu Akande says.

Mr Akande, in a tweet on Saturday, said, “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew (are) safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.”

This is the second time Mr Osinbajo is surviving a helicopter crash.

He narrowly escaped death after his chopper crash landed shortly after take-off in Gwagwalada area council, June last year.

He was in the area council to attend the graduation of 40 senior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service at the Customs College.

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has tweeted to confirm that he is hale and hearty.

“We are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well. We believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher,” he tweeted.
