A popular native doctor, Chief Onupka Nwite was reportedly murdered by suspected cultists in his shrine in Ndulo Ukwuagba Ngbo, Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state.

The murder took place around 8:00pm on Friday, in front of his shrine, and the suspects took to their heels after the dastardly act.

He was said to be an expert in preparing charms for cultists in the area, which they use for protection against rival cult group(s) during clashes.

The deceased’s son, Nwabueze Onukpa alleged that one Abacha, Parity and their gang killed his father.

He was said to have reported the matter to Ohaukwu Police Division and the Development Centre Coordinator even as he appealed to security agents to bring the culprits to book.

The man also reported the matter to his kindred in Ukwuagba who mobilized youth and went on rampage, burning houses of some persons suspected to be involved in the killing of the native doctor.

When contacted, state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP George Okafor said he was on a trip and could not give needed information.

  1. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!
