A shooting at a US Air Force base in Texas has left at least two people dead, police say.
Bexar County sheriff’s spokesman James Keith said officers had responded to reports of an “active shooter” at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
The shooting occurred at 09:00 local time.
He said two bodies were found inside a room at the base which is the home of the US Air Force’s basic training programme.
Mr Keith said it is believed the gunman was among the two dead.
The Sheriff’s office said they believe it is a murder-suicide.
Police will continue to search the building and nearby facilities this afternoon.
